“Tonight’s gift was being reminded of how inspirational it is to be surrounded by women writers.”

A FEW SEATS LEFT!
Get Inspired by Writing with Women
Our evening 12-part series starts this Wednesday
How do we change? Word by word, bird by bird, according to Anne LaMott in her writing book classic, Bird By Bird: Some Instructions for Writing and Life. In this Spring Series (evening) we will build on the transformation themes we explored in our fall classes as we continue to celebrate our tenth year of offering writing circles in Jacksonville. For 12 weeks, we will explore the art of a change through the lens of this funny and brilliant writer, diving deep into her instructions on both writing and life. We will surround ourselves with art, and women, and community. Register here for a transformative experience for you and your writing. Or, sign up for the daytime series starting next Tuesday.
New Class Offered for UNF Students
Do you know a student at UNF who would enjoy a writing circle for support and community? We’re offering that chance this semester through student and former intern Tyla Chambers and UNF Professor Tru Leverette-Hall at the Women’s Center. Refer a student! More info here.
Hope to see you in the circle soon!
Cheers,

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
Visiting Art Exhibitions in Zurich
We‘re always looking for art by women to inspire our writing themes (and sites of possible future writing retreats!), and a gallery in the historic district of Zurich did not disappoint. The mountain views in the rest of the country? Legendary.

The Last Word
From the book ‘Heidi’
“The happiest of all things is when an old friend comes and greets us as in former times; the heart is comforted with the assurance that some day everything that we have loved will be given back”
