Metamorphosis Anthology (Deadline May 31, 2024)
Call to Artists and Writers
In the sixth volume of our annual anthology, titled METAMORPHOSIS: The Art of (a) Change, we will be celebrating 10 years of Women Writing for (a) Change in Jacksonville, asking ourselves, who were we THEN? And who are we NOW?
How have we changed, collectively and individually in these 10 years? How has the world changed? What remains constant? What are the key moments of growth and resilience that have defined our/your journey?
These questions serve as the starting point for our call to artists and writers for work that reflects the essence of personal and collective transformation, revealing the enduring imaginal cells that have remained steadfast throughout. There’s so much creative power to unfurl in any transformation process.
Consider the impact of global events such as Covid, war, the specter of mortality, the challenges of divorce, the devastation of racism and sexism here and around the world, the power of education, the transformative nature of travel, the spiritual healing we’ve experienced, and the moments of awakening that have shaped our worldviews.
Get ready to submit work that will showcase the profound creative power that emerges from the depths of change.
