That’s our hope for Jacksonville and beyond.

Help Us Build a Stronger Community

We are intentional about reaching out to a wider, deeper, more diverse audience in Jacksonville and beyond through our various outreach programs. Your donation will support all of these programs:

  • Our annual anthology, (a) river rising: Anthology of Women’s Voices,
providing a platform for the women writers and artists of Jacksonville and beyond.
  • Our community programs, such as the one pictured here. We also have partnered with the Women’s Center of Jacksonville, Rethreaded, The Jay Fund, Mayo Clinic Florida, The Dolores Barr Weaver Policy Center for Girls, the Florida Immigrant Coalition, and many others.
  • Our “Rising Tide” program for women who are incarcerated.
  • Our “See The Women” program, creating a platform for local women artists tied to our writing, generating important community conversations, and supporting women’s leadership through words and art.
  • Our Zora Neale Hurston for BIPOC community members or our General Scholarship Fund for any women writer. Help us to ensure accessibility for all.
