SPRING SERIES TONIGHT
‘Communal Acts’ Might Save Us
Writing together is a way to restore community
I recently watched a powerful video by Danielle Bayard Jackson about the impact of “communal acts”—simple, intentional ways to reconnect and feel part of something greater than ourselves. She suggests attending a local school’s play, sports game, or performance, even if you don’t have kids there. “That is your community school, and those ARE your kids,” she says. And she’s right.
So, how can we each foster a deeper sense of belonging, care, and support? One way is by stepping away from our screens and stepping into a writing circle. This IS your community. These ARE your people. WE are your people. In our low-tech, place-based, safe-space circles, we honor your words, your experiences, and your presence—just as you are.
We have a couple of spots left in our Tuesday circle, starting tomorrow. Join us? Scholarships are available—don’t let cost be a barrier. Register here.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
Community ReadAround Brings Joy
Saturday’s Anthology ReadAround at Yellow House was a tender, beautiful gathering, held among the stunning works of Venus, Rising, by Tatiana Kitchen. In a topsy-turvy world, it felt like a small moment of healing. Thank you, Hope McMath, for welcoming us—and so many others—into this space where storytelling, art, words, and activism meet. 💛 p.s. Juli Williams hosted a lovely writing circle at the beach, too! —JW
Grateful to Yellow House for hosting our words and art

Frampton Court is a lovely estate, and the icing on the cake is The Orangery. From the brochure: “At the head of a seventeenth century ornamental Dutch canal is the exquisite Orangery. Described by Country Life magazine as “The prettiest garden building in England, The Orangery is one of the most unusual examples of Strawberry Hill gothic architecture in the country.” Who can resist this charm and beauty?
