“The purpose of a writer is to keep civilization from destroying itself.”

SPRING SERIES TONIGHT
Find Your Purpose in Writing with Us
Writing in community is what we need right now.
In a world filled with confusion—wars, disruptions to essential services, and efforts to divide us—how do we make sense of it all? The answer: together. Let’s come together, share a meal, write, and tell our stories. This is the power of writing in community. Through our words, we can process the world around us and cultivate compassion, empathy, and understanding, even across differences.
You can be a part of this transformative process! By joining us, you’ll not only contribute to building a more connected community, but you’ll also discover your own inner purpose through the act of writing. Our mission is to create a conscious, connected community through the art of writing and the practice of togetherness.
Won’t you join us in this sacred space? We hope so. Our first Spring Series circle starts tonight, and our daytime circle begins next Tuesday. We are offering special pricing for those who need it right now. If you join us, we’ll provide the space and support you need to navigate today’s challenges. Register here.
Next Event: CommUNITY ReadAround at Yellow House

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
Gathering Over the Weekend
Board Circle, Beaches Circle Strengthen Community
On Saturday, our Board members came together to kick off the year, welcoming new members and reconnecting with our purpose and passion. We were honored to have past Board presidents Deborah Reid and Mary Strickland share insights on our journey and offer guidance for the future. Immediate past president Shani Hall and new president Juli Williams were both present, committed to shaping the way forward. We also welcomed new member Olivia Vo, fresh from a restorative trip to beautiful Vietnam, and appreciated the support of returning members Tru Leverette Hall and Cathy Driscoll. It’s a joy to work with these incredible women, strengthening our community and continuing our mission. Later, some of us joined Juli Williams’ circle on Courage and Calm: Restoring Balance at the beach, where 11 women found peace and refuge in a safe space. Yes, please—more of this.—JW
