Cotswold Sheep: The breed’s name reflects the traditional habitat of the sheep in England: “cots” for the cotes or small sheepfolds where they were sheltered at night on the “wold”—treeless hilly land.”

OMG, SHEEP!
Let’s FLOCK together to the Cotswolds!
Join us for the Exploratory Circle Tonight
Did I mention I grew up on a sheep farm? That I know how to spin, and weave, and herd sheep? So, I guess it’s kismet that I’m planning our first international retreat to the Cotswolds, where I will spin stories, weave circles, and shepherd a group of adventurous women in the glorious wolds of western England!
If spinning and weaving and flocking appeal to you, I do hope you’ll join us for our Exploratory Circle tonight with Heather Deyo of Casa Erica Travel, our travel host.
Do join us! Learn more about the retreat HERE and register for this free session HERE.
Two More Spots Available in Wednesday’s Fall Series!
And we’d love to see you for our Wednesday night writing series, starting THIS Wednesday. It’s cozy, it’s productive, it’s intimate, and there’s nothing like it here in Jax. We create a safe space for women to write, braving the thin spaces, supporting each other, and laughing. A lot. Hope to see you.
Reminder: Register Now for Fall Classes
For programming that’s close to home, check out one of our upcoming classes or the free community circle at Eartha’s Farm and Market. All classes and events HERE.
Wednesday Evening Series
This session starts this week, on September 4.
Fall Series: Spaces and Places (Wednesday Evenings): What are you intentionally making space for in your life right now—for you, or for others? Let’s explore THIN SPACES * HOME SPACES * INNER SPACES * MAGICAL PLACES * GREEN PLACES * COMMUNITY SPACES * THIRD SPACES and more.
Tuesday Morning Series
This session starts on September 10.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
Exploring & Creating Spaces and Places
We’re meeting with our facilitators (like Juli Williams) to plan special excursions and circles in the community (think Players by the Sea, Yellow House, Generation Wow), preparing the Music Room for our small groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, hanging up Deborah Reid’s art as part of the Spaces and Places Exhibition this fall, and walking the neighborhood in the Golden Hour. We can’t wait to see you, wherever we see you! All classes and events HERE.
The Last Word
“The Cotswold is a longwool sheep breed developed on the Cotswold Hills in western England. Sheep have been known in this region since the time of the Roman conquest 2,000 years ago, and the breed may descend, in part, from the sheep brought to England by the Romans.” —Livestock Conservancy
