A WRITING ADVENTURE
Let’s write together in the Cotswolds!
Join us for an incredible adventure next June.
Info session via Zoom this Tuesday.
As an exciting addition to our programs, we’re hosting a writing retreat in the English Cotswolds June 7-13, 2025. This retreat is a new and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to the magical Cotswold region with Women Writing for (a) Change Jacksonville. We‘ve planned this retreat to be the capstone of our year-long exploration into the theme of “spaces and places.”
For this adventure, we’ve partnered with a trusted woman-led travel company, Casa Erica Travel (recommended by several of our writers), to craft a beautiful itinerary. We will be staying in well-appointed lodgings, surrounded by the rolling English countryside, charming villages, and magnificent manors in the heart of the Cotswold region.
Informational Zoom Session Next Tuesday
It’s a big experience to travel abroad, which is why we’ve scheduled an informational session next Tuesday evening, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m., via Zoom. You’ll have a chance to talk with Heather Deyo, our travel host, and her team, so they can answer our questions and learn more about how she’s crafted this particular experience for us. You can learn more about the retreat HERE and register for this free session HERE.
Cheers,

Wednesday Evening Series
This session starts next week, on September 4.
Fall Series: Spaces and Places (Wednesday Evenings): What are you intentionally making space for in your life right now—for you, or for others? Let’s explore THIN SPACES * HOME SPACES * INNER SPACES * MAGICAL PLACES * GREEN PLACES * COMMUNITY SPACES * THIRD SPACES and more.
Tuesday Morning Series
This session starts on September 10.
Fall Series: Spaces and Places (Tuesday mornings): We’ll explore all the themes of the Wednesday class but do it with sunbeams shining through the living room windows, giving us a chance to see the art of the Spaces and Places Art Exhibition on the walls!
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
It was a small but mighty Sampler this week but we had a surprise guest from Greece thanks to the art of @barbarahionides hanging in the wall! We were exploring the thin places between what is now and what is yet to be. A sacred quest. We can’t wait to welcome more folks to the 12-week circle starting next week!
The Last Word
Margaret Laurence
“This is where my world began. A world which includes the ancestors—both my own and other people’s ancestors who became mine. A world which formed me, and continues to do so, even while I fought it in some of its aspects, and continue to do so. A world which gives me my own lifework to do, because it was here that I learned the sight of my own particular eyes.”
