RELEASE PARTY WEEKEND
Join Us for an Anthology Weekend!
Release Party on Saturday and
Workshops + Open Mic on Sunday
All year long we work toward this moment, when we finally get to share our annual anthology of women’s voices and visions: a river rising, Vol. 7: Spaces and Places. We’re so pleased to share this year’s beautiful book with you.
Two Days of Activities at Eartha White’s Farm
We’ll gather at Eartha’s Farm and Market on Moncrief to celebrate this year’s theme in a space that embodies it. Come early for the Farmer’s Market on Saturday and stay for the Release Party from 2–4 p.m. Then return Sunday for workshops, speakers, and an open mic.
Schedule for the Weekend
Saturday Afternoon, 2-4
Arrive early (1:30–2) for the Farmer’s Market. Doors open at 2 for the Community ReadAround, speakers, and anthology pickup.
Sunday Afternoon, 2–4:30 p.m.
Enjoy a farm tour, build a fairy house for the gardens, watercolor with Teresa Cook (Jacksonville spaces and places), or learn about Indian cooking (inspired by poetry in the anthology.) Plus, join us for an open mic featuring readers from the anthology!
Both Days
Explore an exhibit on Eartha White and a photography showcase on “spaces and places” by the Jacksonville Photography Hub.
This event is free and open to the public.

We’d love to see you.

Join us for an informational session to learn more about our writing retreat to the Umbira region of Italy in June of 2026. Our travel host Heather Deyo will answer questions about the travel, lodging, and activities planned for this adventure.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
Public ReadAround Wraps Semester
Writers share their stories on a sunny afternoon
We enjoyed hearing the stories, poetry, and essays of our semester writers as we gathered under the art of Suzanne Pickett this past Sunday. As one of our writers said afterward, “We are hardwired for storytelling and this was magical.” Indeed. (Join us for a class next semester to learn what it’s all about! Get on the waiting list here.
