ANTHOLOGY ART
Let’s Celebrate the Anthology Artists!
Join us for an Art Reception and ReadAround at FSCJ Kent
We’re pleased to once again partner with FSCJ to bring the Metamorphosis Anthology to life—not only through the beautifully published book, but also through a gallery exhibition showcasing the artwork that graces its pages.
Join us for a vibrant evening celebrating the women artists and writers of Jacksonville featured in Metamorphosis: Volume VI. This event includes:
🖼️ 6:00–7:00 p.m. – Art Reception
Mingle with the artists and writers while viewing their work on the gallery walls.
📖 7:00–8:00 p.m. – Community ReadAround
Listen as contributors share readings from the anthology in an intimate, interactive format.
This special evening offers an opportunity to connect more deeply with the stories, voices, and visual art that make the anthology come alive. All are welcome to celebrate this creative collaboration!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY
Closing the Spaces and Places Exhibit
On Mother’s Day, An Intimate Conversation
We had a beautiful afternoon last week celebrating our Zora Neale Hurston Fellows, Emily Mitchell and Teresa Cook, at the closing of our Spaces and Places exhibition. With a thoughtful Q&A led by their mentor, Louise Freshman Brown, guests enjoyed viewing new and current works while sending Emily and Teresa off with warm wishes as they continue creating art that will be featured at the Ritz Theater this December.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!
Next up: we’re preparing to open submissions for the Spaces and Places Anthology, to be released in December 2025. Writers and artists, start getting your work ready—submission details coming soon!
