 as we fill our journals with the new worlds we are creating and expanding.\

 u Are Meant to Live\nFall Series: Making a Life\nThis fall we introduce our
  latest theme\, Linens and Laces\, focusing on the long lineage of weaving
 \, spinning\, and stitching practiced by the women who came before us. We
 ’ll be reading Making a Life: Working by Hand and Discovering the Life Y
 ou Are Meant to Live by Melanie Falick as we write our stories and weave 
 together the threads of our own lives. We will explore the question of why 
 working with our hands ”remains vital and valuable in the modern world.
 ” The answer is found deep in our bones.\nOur featured artists on the wal
 ls will be our newest Zora Neale Hurston Fellows\, Deshonna “Sunflower So
 ul” Buchanon and Noelle Giradeau\, and we will draw inspiration from thei
 r work in photography and fiber arts.\nThis 12-week series will be inspired
  by our year-long theme of Linens and Laces\, offered Wednesday evenings o
 r Tuesday mornings. Join us for this deep dive into what it means to make a
  life\, working by hand and discovering\, through our writing and craft-mak
 ing\, the life you are meant to live.\nThe year will culminate in an option
 al international writing retreat to Portugal\, where we'll continue our exp
 loration of Making a Life through Portugal's rich textile traditions\, the 
 markets of Lisbon\, and the creative practice of making by hand.\nRegister 
 soon for this series—seats are limited! This program is open to anyone wh
 o identifies as a woman. Class size is intentionally kept small to ensure p
